Walsall Council is consulting the public on plans to install speed cushions along Bentley Lane between High Road, Lane Head and Bloxwich Lane. The scheme aims to improve road safety and reduce vehicle speeds on a route identified as a poor performer with increasing public concern.

Safety Concerns

Four recorded collisions resulting in injury have occurred on Bentley Lane in the previous three-year period. Two of these collisions resulted in serious injuries. The council reviews road collisions involving injury annually as part of its road safety responsibilities.

Proposed Measures

Speed cushions are proposed as the primary traffic calming measure along the route. Detailed plans showing the location of the proposed speed cushions are available to view.
