Walsall Council has opened a final consultation on the Walsall Borough Local Plan, running from 21 September to 2 November 2026. This is the last opportunity for residents to comment on the draft plan before it goes to government for independent examination.
The Local Plan sets out how land in the borough will be used for homes, jobs, open space, nature and other community needs.
How to get involved
Residents can submit comments online at the council's dedicated Regulation 19 website, or view the full plan in any Walsall library.
Two public meetings have been scheduled to explain the Local Plan process and how to respond:
- Online meeting: Tuesday 29 September, 6pm to 7pm
- In-person meeting: Wednesday 14 October, 6pm to 7.30pm, Walsall Town Hall, Leicester Street, Walsall WS1 1TZ
Both meetings will include a question and answer session. Booking is required in advance, with spaces limited. Registration closes at 10am on the day of each meeting. Questions can be submitted when booking.
